In the world of haute horlogerie, where timepieces are often seen as works of art, the Mosaïque II by Barbier-Mueller stands as a timepiece that effortlessly marries Geneva’s rich craftsmanship with the allure of fine watchmaking. This platinum watch is a bold statement to the skill and dedication of artisans who have poured their hearts and souls into its creation.
Mosaïque II’s 41mm x 10.85mm case is adorned with a mosaic of stones using the champlevé technique. What truly sets this case apart is its clamshell back.
The dial is designed by a renowned Geneva-based designer Eric Giroud. It features a delicate “Lotus Flower” motif, created entirely from hard stones by Les Cadraniers de Genève, capturing the essence of nature in every detail.
Beneath the dial lies the Geneva-crafted exclusive 18K rose gold F.P.Journe movement, Caliber 1304. This manual movement boasts a power reserve of 56 hours ± 2 hours.
The Mosaïque II comes adorned with a hand-padded and hand-stitched brown alligator leather strap with Sphinx family emblem engraved platinum pin buckle. Mosaïque II is set to go under the hammer at the Only Watch auction, with an expected fetch price between CHF 150,000 and CHF 250,000. The proceeds will contribute to research aimed at combating Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
