Baume & Mercier has launched its fifth generation of the Riviera for the brand’s 50th anniversary this year, a collection that pays homage to the French Riviera. The Riviera Azur 300m is a diving watch that marks the first generation-five Riviera diver. It features a 42.1mm stainless steel case with a new dodecagonal bezel design that dates back to the original 1970s model. The Riviera uses its 12-sided bezel with a unidirectional rotation and has further diving bezel adaptations in the form of its diving scale and additional grips. The hour and minute hands have been redesigned to be thicker and lume coated legibility underwater.

The dial is available in blue or black, with a rippled wave pattern, and the transparent dial has been included to showcase the movement housed beneath. The signature Baumatic caliber, Baumatic caliber BM13-1975A, automatic, COSC-certified movement offers hours, minutes, seconds, and a date complication.

The movement has a stellar 5-day power reserve (120h), 28,800 vph (4 Hz), and an accuracy of -4/+6 seconds per day. The watch is magnetic resistant to 1500 gauss, and water resistant to 300m.

The Riviera Azur 300m is available with either a rubber or stainless steel bracelet and is priced at EUR 4,150 for the blue dial and EUR 4,350 for the black dial.
