The Swiss watchmaking house of Bovet has a penchant for creating highly complex timepieces with traditional know-how while enriching it with the avant-garde spirit of modern watchmaking, redefining what haute horology is all about. One such champion of the house of Bovet is the Récital 21, a perpetual calendar timepiece with a unique take on the retrograde date, now shielded in sapphire crystal and available in three captivating hues: green, blue, and brown.
Récital 21 is crafted in polished Grade 5 titanium, the 44.4mm x 15.4mm case tapers to 10.25mm at six o’clock, creating Bovet’s signature ergonomic “writing desk” profile. With short lugs and a polished natural sapphire-set crown, the case offers good wearability. It is water-resistant to 30m.
The green, blue, or brown tinted sapphire dial offers a view of the perpetual calendar’s mechanisms. Key indications include day and month apertures at 12 and 6 o’clock, a leap year display at 3 o’clock, and a retrograde date hand that sweeps the dial’s perimeter, with a unique damping mechanism for smoother motion. The quick adjustment corrector enables the synchronized updates of all indications with a single mechanism. The markings are coated in Super-LumiNova for visibility in low light.
Bovet’s in-house manual-wind Calibre 13DM05-QPR delivers an exemplary 140h power reserve from a single barrel, beating at 21,600vph (3 Hz). Its patented double coaxial seconds mechanism and finely hand-finished components further showcase Bovet’s technical prowess.
Available now through select Bovet retailers and limited to 60 pieces per dial color, the Récital 21 is priced at CHF 92,000 (excluding taxes) and comes with a matching alligator strap.
