Girard-Perregaux’s Laureato line of watches has been a staple of the brand for many years. In recent years, the brand has partnered with Aston Martin on a number of occasions, resulting in some exciting collaborations in varying styles. The latest addition to this collaboration is the Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition, available in two sizes, 38mm and 42mm.
The Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition features a green ceramic case in the classic Laureato design. This is the first full ceramic Laureato to come in color, adding a touch of elegance and technical advancement. The octagonal bezel sits atop a tonneau body, and the watch flows seamlessly into an integrated bracelet. The 38mm model has a diameter of 38mm and a thickness of 10.27mm, while the 42mm model has a diameter of 42mm and a thickness of 11.08mm. Both models have a water resistance of 100m (10 bar).
The dial of the Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition is a rich, deep British racing green in tribute to Aston Martin’s racing colors. It features a diamond pattern, adding to the sporty feel of the watch. The sunray dial is a beautiful backdrop for the white accents, which match the colors of the Aston Martin logo. The applied markers and open-worked hands are both filled with Super-LumiNova. A date window is found at the 3 o’clock position with its background matching the dial color.
The movement of the Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition is displayed through an exhibition caseback, which features the Aston Martin logo. The watch is powered by two different calibers, depending on the size. The 38mm model is equipped with GP caliber GP03300-2166, an automatic, 27-jewel movement, while the 42mm model is powered by GP caliber GP01800-2165, an automatic, 28-jewel movement. Both finely decorated in-house movements beat at 28,800vph (4 Hz), with the 38mm model offering a 46-hour power reserve and the 42mm model offering a 54-hour power reserve.
Both models feature a matching green ceramic bracelet that complements the watch case, creating a cohesive and sophisticated style. The 38mm model is limited to 188 pieces and priced at $25,000, while the 42mm model is limited to 388 pieces and priced at $25,800.
