In watchmaking, complexity often prevails, yet H. Moser & Cie. stands out for its refreshing embrace of sophistication and simplicity. The new H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Perpetual Calendar Concept Smoked Salmon embodies this ethos, marrying technical mastery with minimalist design, defining its unique position in haute horlogerie.
Crafted from polished stainless steel, the 42.3mm cushion-shaped case exudes sleek sophistication. Its smooth curves, reminiscent of high-speed trains from yesteryear, are complemented by a subtly domed sapphire crystal. The integrated bracelet seamlessly flows from the case, its supple, wave-shaped links ensuring a comfortable fit on any wrist.
The dial is where things get more interesting. Featuring Moser’s signature smoked salmon fumé finish with a vertically brushed griffé texture. This captivating gradient, ranging from light in the center to deep at the periphery, is accented with a vertical brushed finish. The absence of logos and indices allows the dial’s beauty to shine unencumbered, creating a canvas of pure, unadulterated minimalism.
The date, displayed in a large window at 4 o’clock, changes instantaneously at midnight thanks to the ingenious “Flash Calendar” mechanism. Months are indicated by a discreet red and white hand, while the power reserve is subtly hinted at by a hand at 10 o’clock. The leap year indicator is hidden on the movement’s side.
Inside is the HMC 812 manufacture Caliber, a hand-wound movement, boasting a 168-hour power reserve, featuring a direct-drive central seconds hand and an in-house hairspring.
This exclusive timepiece is priced at CHF 49,900 (incl. tax) and is exclusively available from February 21, 2024, to February 21, 2025.
