Following the success of the Lady Serenade and PanoMatic Luna lines, Glashütte Original introduces a new chapter in their women’s watch collection; the Serenade Luna. This exquisite timepiece retains the brand’s signature elegance while adding a touch of celestial wonder with its moon phase complication.
The Serenade Luna boasts a classically feminine case size. Measuring in at a petite 32.5mm x 8.9mm size profile, the watch should sit gracefully on the female wrists. Crafted from either polished stainless steel or luxurious 18k red gold, the polished bezels can be adorned with 48 sparkling diamonds, adding a touch of glamor for the ladies who desire extra brilliance. A closer look reveals a charming detail; the crown. For diamond-set models, a rose-cut diamond takes center stage, while the non-gemstone variants feature an elegant moonstone cabochon. Completing the refined aesthetic are sapphire crystals on both the front and back of the case, ensuring optimal scratch resistance and a clear view of the enchanting dial within.
The dial of the Serenade Luna is a captivating canvas showcasing Glashütte Original’s meticulous craftsmanship. For the stainless steel models, there’s a choice between a sunray blue dial or a white mother-of-pearl dial. The red gold version takes a more opulent route with a stunning golden-green sunray dial. Regardless of the dial color, all models boast luminous white gold hour markers adorned with 20 brilliant-cut diamonds. The star of the show, however, is undoubtedly the moon phase complication at the 6 o’clock position. Framed by a crescent-shaped structure embellished with stars, a disc of iridescent mother-of-pearl depicts the moon in a star-studded night sky. The night sky itself is a work of art, crafted with either dark Tahitian mother-of-pearl (red gold model) or a deep blue lacquer (steel models) beneath the mother-of-pearl, creating a serene sense of depth.
Ticking below the refined exterior is the in-house designed Caliber 35-14 automatic movement. This impressive feat of engineering is expertly crafted to fit within the watch’s slender case, measuring a mere 3.8mm in thickness. Developed with everyday wear in mind, the Caliber 35-14 boasts a user-friendly design and robust construction. With 60-hour power reserve, the movement offers reliability, ensuring that the watch continues to run smoothly even after being taken off the wrist for an extended period. The movement incorporates a silicon hairspring, making it resistant to magnetic fields and temperature fluctuations, guaranteeing optimal accuracy. Visible through the transparent caseback, the rotor is a sight to behold. Crafted from solid red gold in the red gold model, it features a beautiful seashell pattern guilloché, revealing the signature three-quarter plate and other traditional Glashütte Original finishes.
The Serenade Luna comes with a variety of strap options to suit your style. The stainless steel models can be paired with a sleek stainless steel bracelet or a sophisticated blue alligator leather strap. The red gold model features a luxurious green alligator leather strap that perfectly complements the golden-green dial. All straps are interchangeable, allowing for effortless customization. Prices for the Serenade Luna collection begin at EUR 10,900 for the stainless steel model with a blue dial and leather strap. The diamond-set models and the red gold version naturally command a higher price tag, reaching up to EUR 23,900. The Serenade Luna collection is now available for purchase at authorized Glashütte Original retailers worldwide.
