Introducing The Timex Marlin Sub-Dial Automatic Watches

Timex is a renowned watch brand that has been around for more than 165 years. It is known for its high-quality, durable, and affordable watches that cater to a wide range of audiences. One of the most popular collections by Timex is the Marlin, which was first introduced in the 1960s. The Marlin collection is known for its vintage and classic design that has remained popular among watch enthusiasts for years. Timex has recently introduced a new addition to this collection – the Timex Marlin Sub-Dial Automatic, which boasts of a distinct design and excellent features.

The Timex Marlin Sub-Dial Automatic watch boasts a steel case with a diameter of 39mm that showcases a perfect amalgamation of contemporary and vintage elements, paying tribute to the 70s era. The case finishing comprises vertical brushed surfaces mixed with polished ones, which adds to its vintage look. The dial of the watch is protected by mineral crystal, and the crown is signed with “Marlin.” The case has an overall sleek and elegant look that is sure to impress watch lovers. The case offers water resistance of 50 meters.

The dial of the watch is available in silver or black and features a classical railroad-style minute track around the outer edge. The dial has large and very legible numerals for the hours. The black dial has silver hands, while the two silver-toned versions have either blue or gray hands. The silver and gray combination is specific to the online exclusive model. The dial also features a beveled date window at 3 o’clock and a 24-hour subdial at 9 o’clock. The subdial has a radial texture and a contrasting red hand, which adds character to the dial.

The Timex Marlin Sub-Dial Automatic is powered by the Miyota 8217 automatic movement, which has a frequency of 21,600vph and offers hacking seconds. The watch has 42 hours of power reserve when it’s fully wound by the central rotor. The movement can be viewed through the porthole in the caseback, which also has an etched outline of a Marlin fish.

The new Timex Marlin Sub-Dial Automatic 39mm comes in three different models, one of which is an online exclusive. All three models are worn on a leather strap, available in brown, black, or blue (for the online exclusive edition), and fitted with a steel pin buckle. Despite its excellent features and vintage design, the Timex Marlin Sub-Dial Automatic is priced extremely affordably at EUR 280 or USD 269, making it accessible to a wide range of watch enthusiasts.
