In collaboration with Alinghi Red Bull Racing, Tudor has unveiled two new Pelagos FXD models. The new watches are characterized by fixed strap bars, a 200m water-resistance, and a bidirectional 120-notch rotatable bezel.
The Tudor Pelagos FXD Alinghi
The Pelagos FXD is a 42mm time-only watch with a black carbon composite case, titanium screw-down crown and sapphire crystal with AR coating. The matte blue dial with luminescent ceramic composite monobloc applied hour markers and Snowflake hands. It is powered by the MT5602 movement with 70h power reserve, transversal balance bridge, antimagnetic silicon hairspring, and COSC certification.
The Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono Alinghi
The second model comes in a 43mm in diameter size profile. The case is also using a blend of carbon composite, titanium and steel. It features two counters at 3 and 9 o’clock, date at 6 o’clock, and has the MT5813 movement with column-wheel and vertical clutch architecture. It has its own specifications, which include a variable inertia balance and an anti-magnetic silicon hairspring. Running at 4Hz and boasting 70h of power reserve, it is also regulated to -2/+4 seconds/day.
Both watches are worn on a new 22mm single-piece fabric strap. Made of “Team Blue” jacquard-woven ribbon with red accents, it is closed by a titanium D-shaped buckle with a self-gripping fastening system.
The Tudor Pelagos FXD Alinghi is priced at CHF 3,500 or EUR 3,650 (both incl. taxes). The Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono Alinghi is priced at CHF 4,850 or EUR 5,070 (both incl. taxes). The watches are available now at authorized Tudor retailers.
