Watches & Wonders Geneva may have passed us by now, but that doesn’t mean we’ve finished and recovered! Vacheron Constantin is having a whole year’s celebration as 2025 marks the 270th anniversary of their founding. To mark the occasion, they released a slew of limited edition watches and we’ve been looking at the exclusive new members of the Traditionelle collection, well, most of them.
Traditionelle manual-winding
The first watch is the simplest but is probably the most beautiful as well; it’s the simple manually wound Traditionelle. The platinum case measures 38.00mm x 7.77mm, and an 18k rose gold version is available too. The simple dial allows for the maximum amount of space for Vacheron Constantin’s unique dial pattern, exclusive to these anniversary watches.
Inside the watch and visible through the back is the manually-wound calibre 4400 AS/270, which has a 4Hz beat rate and a 65-hour power reserve. This platinum version costs $36,300 before taxes, the gold one I mentioned is just over $10,000 less. They’re both limited to 370 examples.
Traditionelle complete calendar open-face
The complete calendar exists to give you some extra function without as much complexity as an annual or perpetual calendar, but looking at this watch, you wouldn’t know it. This watch displays the day, date, month and moonphase but in a classy way that reveals some of its mechanics.
Made in 950 platinum, this watch measures 41.00mm x 11.05mm, the self-winding calibre 2460 QCL/270 runs at 4Hz and has a 40-hour power reserve. The price of this one is $69,500 before tax. Only 370 will be made.
Traditionelle perpetual calendar retrograde date open-face
Compared to the complete calendar, which you need to reset yourself at the end of the month, the perpetual calendar in this model already knows the length of the month and can factor in for leap years as well.
This watch follows a similar design theme to the other watch with its open dial to view the self-winding calibre 2460 QPR31/270, which has a 4Hz beat rate and 40-hour power reserve. That’s sat inside a platinum case measuring 41.00mm x 10.94mm. The price of this one is $107,000 before taxes. Limited to 370 watches only.
Traditionelle tourbillon retrograde date open-face
Next up, we enter the world of tourbillons, which Vacheron Constantin is very well acquainted with. This version features a retrograde date like the other watches with plenty of the dial cut away so you can see some of the movement.
The tourbillon of the self-winding calibre 2162 R31/270 (which has a 3Hz beat rate and 72-hour power reserve) features Vacheron Contantin’s Maltese Cross logo on its cage as ever, and it looks splendid. With its platinum case measuring 41mm x 11.07mm, this one wears its size well. The price of this one is available upon request and the watch is limited to 370 examples.
Traditionelle tourbillon perpetual
We finally made it to the big daddy of the range, the Traditionelle tourbillon perpetual. Measuring 42.0mm x 11.1mm and presented in platinum, this watch is still a comfortably wearable watch despite the complexities within. The self-winding 2162 QP/270 is made of 324 parts and runs at 2.5Hz for 72 hours, and it’s a brand-new movement from Vacheron Constantin as well.
This watch is limited to 127 examples, and the price is available upon request. However, I remember a price of over $300,000 being mentioned when we were at Vacheron Constantin’s booth. I don’t remember the exact amount, though.
All of these watches are exquisite, and we don’t doubt that Vacheron Constantin has more in store for us throughout the year. Let us know which is your favourites in the comments!
