Montblanc has some really impressive novelties at SIHH this year. Three words defines the Montblanc TimeWalker World Time Hemispheres; concept, design, and execution. This pair of watches, are part of Montblanc’s sporty TimeWalker collection, the interesting thing is the unique way in which each displays world time zones.
Instead of having surrounding dial with a rotating ring of cities, the Hemisphere watches, have a rotating disc at the center of the dial with an image of the Earth as seen from above a Pole with the Earth’s time zones.
The Northern Hemisphere watch has a silver dial while the Southern Hemisphere is gray with orange accents. The steel cases measures 42mm steel with brushed titanium bezels. Either can be had on a titanium and steel bracelet or a textile strap.
Is there a strategy behind this concept?
In that case perhaps a clever thing to do, to get the customers to buy both versions of the watch.
Price: $4900 on strap or about $5700 on bracelet.
