Omega Unveils The Seamaster Diver 300M Watch In Titanium And Bronze Gold

The Seamaster evolves and does so not by accretion, but by eschewing the extraneous.

It’s the holiday season and it’s apparently also the Seamaster season; although one has nothing to do with the other (at least in this instance). It’s been a mad rush of Seamasters in the last few weeks, as first the duo of no-date Seamaster watches in two colors were released a little under a month ago, now a third no-date Seamaster joins the party bringing modern materials and more colors to the table along with subtle vintage touches.

What sets this Seamaster Diver 300m apart from its buddies are the case materials, as now the 42mm x 13.8mm case is made from grade 2 titanium and bronze gold. The bronze gold alloy is resistant to oxidation and retains its soft pink hue without turning green over time. Due to the inherent strength and lightweight nature of titanium, the watch not only weighs less but it’s also far more durable than stainless steel. The unidirectional bezel has green aluminum insert and a 60-minute diving scale, where the bezel ring is crafted from Omega’s proprietary bronze gold, carrying the inherent pinkish hue and also making the watch resistant to corrosion. The crown and the helium escape valve are also made from bronze gold.

The matte finished dial is made with green aluminum and carries the large blackened indexes. Accentuating the vintage factor are the vintage Super-LumiNova accents on indexes, hands, and bezel. A domed sapphire with anti-reflective treatment protects the dial. Water Resistance is 300 meters (30 bar).

The high precision Calibre 8806 orchestrates the dial elements from within, a Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement certified by METAS. Beating at 25,200vph and offering a 55 hour power reserve, it’s a bi-directional self-winding mechanism with a silicon balance spring, resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 Gauss.

This Omega Seamaster Diver 300m comes paired with a grade 2 titanium mesh bracelet ($10,700 USD) or an integrated green rubber strap ($9,900 USD).
