My friends, let us talk about the bronze Panerai Submersible Bronzo PAM968, yes it comes in bronze. Bronze may be classical in nature but it has always been the color of diving which is perfect for this watch.
Moreover, the new Panerai Submersible is made from a solid bronze and they did not stop there, they had to put in a sandblasted ceramic bezel too. What a fine looking machine indeed with a very cohesive look. Every element of the watch just falls into place naturally, no friction at all.
The 47mm bronze case is hefty and very imposing and rightfully so, after all this is a pro tool watch right here with 300 m of water resistance. The iconic crown guard looks stunning and seems ready for action at any time, honestly, I think I would find myself playing with it the whole time. This patented tech alone would attract many loyal fans of the brand to get a hold of this amazing timepiece.
Furthermore, the micro-sandblasted brown ceramic disc applied to the rotating bezel distinguishes the new version of the iconic watch. This unidirectional rotating bezel is also very important to pro divers as it allows them to have an accurate reading of the duration of each dive. And of course, it has its toothed edge for easier adjustment even with gloves.
Moving on to the dial, I really like its deep brown look. In line with this, I believe that it is important to note that bronze ages very well and slowly, yielding more value to the watch. Nonetheless, we see the seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock and the date at 3 o’clock. Legibility is superb thanks to the lumed indices, hands and bezel. If not for its intimidating size, this would be a perfect watch for the daily grind.
Moreover, the self-winding P.9010 manufacture calibre beating at 28,800 vph achieves an impressive 3 days of autonomy. We can also see its beautiful bidirectional oscillating weight in action through the caseback.
Finally, the Panerai Submersible Bronzo PAM968 wears on a natural leather strap or military green rubber strap.
