Post-SIHH 2018: Panerai Luminor Due 38mm Watch

By Carl Scutt

Just as we all expect from any Italian manufacturer of luxury goods the Panerai Luminor design house consistently comes through with clear, precise refinement that never fails to hit the mark.

This year is nothing new as they release their new for 2018 collection of Panerai Luminor Due in both 38 and 42mm cases for SIHH.

Known By Many, Loved By All

The well-known design of the Panerai Luminor Due is a modern classic that oozes class and sophistication.

What’s New For 2018?

Choose is always a nice option and now we have the option of a 38 or 42mm case on the new flavours of the Luminor Due with an embarrassment of customization to suit just about everyone.

New for this year the Luminor Due is available in a Stainless Steel or Red Gold case with a choice of dial colours and straps, all featuring the OP XXXIV Manufacture Calibre offering a Date Window at 3 o’clock.

Dials feature large luminous Arab markers and minute markers and small seconds at 9 o’clock with the 3 o’clock position featuring the Date window and the 12 and 6 o’clock markers enlarged.

The cases are the expected chunky round on square design with aggressive lugs and crown protector. The Red Gold an 18-carat gold alloy utilizing a percentage of copper to add the intensity of the color, and platinum to prevent oxidation.

Your Choice

It’s not often a high-end watch manufacturer introduces such an altruistic collection and certainly not when it’s aimed at the SIHH demographic that is usually made up of a high percentage of wealthy watch enthusiasts and collectors. It certainly refreshing to see the Luminor Due offering itself as a watch for the people, with the added luxury of different combinations to suit most tastes.

Let’s see what happen with this collection, but mark my words, this is going to be a winner! panerai.com
