Speake-Marin, the Geneva-based watchmaker with British roots, has just introduced their latest creation for this year’s Only Watch auction, the Ripples Bleu Royal watch. The watch is a radiant tribute to hope, with its distinctive blue dial and heart-shaped hands, a fitting symbol of the strength and resilience of those affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
The Ripples Bleu Royal is cased in stainless steel with a “La City” case that measures 40.3mm x 9.2mm. The bezel is vertically brushed and the dial is in a Royal Blue color with “Ripples” finishing and polished indexes. The heart-shaped rhodium-plated hands are beautifully contrasted against the deep blue dial.
The watch is powered by the SMA03-T20 movement, which is developed, produced, and assembled by the “Le Cercle des Horlogers” workshop in Switzerland. The movement is hand-finished with bridges, inner angles, rhodium plating, and Geneva stripes. It has a power reserve of 52 hours and beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
The Ripples Bleu Royal is fitted with an integrated stainless steel bracelet with a stainless-steel folding buckle. The Speake Marin logo is engraved on the clasp.
The watch will be auctioned off at Only Watch 2023, with proceeds going to benefit research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
