TAG Heuer has just done a double hat-trick in the new Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport collection, releasing four chronographs and two tourbillon models all at once. All watches have a modular case design with a container and two barrels on the side, integrating different materials seamlessly.

The prominent features on the chronograph models are the skeletonized dials and open-worked date discs. Sizing at 44mm x 15.10mm, with up to 100m water-resistant. The first two Chronograph models feature blue (ref. CBU2081.FT6274) and orange (ref. CBU2082.FT6275) accents and hands on the dial treated with Super-LumiNova, along with the matching colored straps. The cases have a Grade-2 titanium built and are affixed with sandblasted ceramic bezel. These two models are priced at CHF 8,000. While the third Chronograph model (ref. CBU2080.FT6272) has a black DLC-coated titanium case and a matching black ceramic bezel with gray markings, priced at CHF 8,200. The last of the chronograph models (ref. CBU2050.FT6273) combines titanium with 18K rose gold barrels and lugs, priced at CHF 12,000.

The TH20-00 automatic movement is shared between all the chronograph models and can be seen through a sapphire crystal caseback. This movement has a column wheel, bi-directional oscillating weight, and a power reserve of up to 80 hours.

The Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Extreme Sport models share the same case dimensions and water resistance as the chronographs. The first tourbillon (ref. CBU5080.FT6272) features a Grade-2 titanium case with a forged carbon bezel and gray accents. This model with a mashup of titanium/carbon is priced at CHF 25,500. The second tourbillon (ref. CBU5050.FT6273) also has a bi-material construction but combines an 18K rose gold case and bezel with a black DLC-coated titanium container instead, priced at CHF 32,000. Both tourbillon models use the same TH20-09 movement with 65-hour power reserve, including a vertical clutch, column wheel, and a new shield-shaped rotor. All models come with an integrated rubber strap inspired by motorsport air intake systems.
