As the official timekeeper for the FIA Formula 1 World Championship once again, TAG Heuer celebrates this prestigious role with the unveiling of a completely revamped Formula 1 collection of mechanical chronographs. This exciting new range introduces four mechanical chronographs, including a dedicated Oracle Red Bull Racing Edition.
The new Formula 1 boasts a robust presence with a shaped grade 2 titanium case measuring 44mm x 14.1mm. This substantial size is expertly balanced by integrated lugs, resulting in a comfortable wear experience despite its imposing dimensions. The case is available in two finishes; bare titanium and a sleek black DLC coating. Each model features a fixed tachymeter bezel with a contrasting colored insert, further emphasizing the racing heritage.
Dial options are equally diverse and visually striking. The core collection features a classic black dial with contrasting red or light blue accents, while the standout Oracle Red Bull Racing Edition adopts the team’s signature deep blue color. The Oracle Red Bull Racing Edition also distinguishes itself with a unique chequered pattern on the blue dial and a carbon fiber bezel insert. All models feature applied markers with Super-LumiNova for enhanced readability in low-light conditions, along with semi-openworked hour and minute hands with Super-LumiNova inserts.
Chronograph displays elapsed time with central seconds hand, 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock, and 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock. Small seconds at 9 o’clock.
Revving under the hood is the robust Calibre 16 automatic chronograph movement. The calibre is based on the reliable Sellita SW510, this workhorse operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph and offers a respectable 42-hour power reserve.
Racing-inspired integrated rubber straps complete the look. Black models are paired with dynamic black rubber straps, while the light blue variant features a vibrant blue strap. The Oracle Red Bull Racing Edition showcases a bold blue rubber strap adorned with the team’s signature colors. All straps are secured with a robust pin buckle. The pricing starts at CHF 4,300 for the standard titanium model, followed by CHF 4,600 for the black DLC-coated variants, and reaches CHF 5,300 for the Oracle Red Bull Racing Edition.
