Panerai’s Luminor GMT Power Reserve Ceramica (PAM01674) joins the ranks of their growing boutique-exclusive timepiece collection that combines rarity, innovation, and unique craftsmanship. With limited availability, distinctive materials, and cutting-edge design, Panerai boutique edition watches are prized by collectors for good reason.
Such is the case with the Luminor GMT Power Reserve Ceramica, employing a 44mm diameter case completely machined from black sandblasted ceramic housing Panerai’s signature (patented) crown-protecting locking mechanism lending the watch 100m (330ft) of water resistance further reinforced with a screw-down Titanium DLC treated case back.
The black dial is rendered in a similar matt finish as the main case and is the top most section of Panerai’s iconic sandwich dial configuration composed of two superimposed plates. The upper plate maintains cut-out Arabic numerals at the 6, 9, and 12 that reveal a coated lowered plate covered in a light gray shade of Super-Luminova which glows a vivid green in low light. The central handset is likewise filled with grey Super-Luminova though the time zone hand, GMT, emits a blue glow as does the hand of the power reserve sub register at the 5 o’clock position.
The dial also houses a small seconds sub register at the 9 o’clock position and an unframed date display window at the 3.
The self winding Panerai caliber P.9012 operates at a rate of 4hz (28,000 vph), provides 72 hours of power reserve on a full wind, and features an anti-magnetic Glucydur balance and robust Incabloc anti-shock protection.
In line with the case, the single link bracelet of the Luminor GMT Power Reserve Ceramica is also machined from the same sandblasted black ceramic.
The Panerai Luminor GMT Power Reserve Ceramica is a boutique exclusive available online or in select Panerai locations at a price of €19,500 / US$19,100.
