Tissot has been in business for over 160 years. The company is known for its affordable and reliable watches, and it has a long history of innovation. In 2023, Tissot is reviving one of its most iconic watches, the Sideral S.

The Sideral S was first released in the 1970s, and it was designed to appeal to the youth of that era. The watch has a unique design and bright colors, and it quickly became a cult classic. The new Sideral S pays homage to the original design, but it is made with modern materials and has a more refined look.

The new Sideral S is made with a forged carbon and stainless steel case. The case has a tonneau shape and measures 41mm in diameter. The watch is water resistant to 300 meters. The dial is black with a pronounced minute scale. The minute scale is available in three colors: yellow, grey, and blue. The watch has a perforated rubber strap that is ideal for sports and diving. The straps use the original fastening method from the 1970s involving twin pins on both ends of the strap that correlate to the central perforations.

The new Sideral S is powered by the Powermatic 80 Nivachron automatic movement. The Powermatic 80 is Tissot’s premier mechanical movement. It has a frequency of 21,600 vph (4 Hz) and a power reserve of 80 hours. The movement is visible through the exhibition sapphire caseback.

The new Sideral S is priced at $995/£915. It is available now at Tissot retailers.
