In a somewhat surprising turn of events back in April of this year, Zenith lifted the curtains off their new dive watch and they called it Defy Extreme Diver. True to its “Extreme” moniker, it was built for extreme diving needs. We knew that we’d witness the evolution of the model, and here’s the next iteration of it in a charming silvery-white dial.

The case is made of lightweight titanium sizing at 42.5mm in diameter and a height of 15.5mm. The use of titanium makes it lightweight while being more durable than stainless steel. The dramatic angles and multi-faceted construction makes the case pleasing to the eye, whereas a ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel and a helium escape valve makes the watch ready for saturation diving, going as deep as 600 meters.

The dial is a bright, silvery white with the same four-pointed star design that makes the Defy Skyline so recognizable. The star pattern spreads out from the Zenith logo, creating a sunburst effect that really pops. The date is located at 3 o’clock, it’s made to match the dial’s color perfectly. The hands shine in blue, green and yellow thanks to a healthy treatment of Super-LumiNova.

Powering this diving machine is the high-frequency El Primero 3620-SC movement beating at 5 Hz. This automatic caliber delivers 60 hour power reserve.

You can choose from a titanium bracelet, a black rubber strap, or even a long strap made from recovered fishing nets which is perfect for diving. Acquiring one is as simple as visiting a Zenith authorized dealer and paying the sum of USD 11,300/EUR 11,800/GBP 10,200/CHF 10,900.
