A contemporary successor to the iconic 1969 Defy dressed in white.

Last year, Zenith introduced the Defy Skyline Skeleton that was a modern successor to the original Zenith Defy from 1969. That release showcased an open-worked dial that highlighted the El Primero-derived high-frequency movement. Now Zenith is taking it to the next level with the new Defy Skyline White Ceramic Skeleton.

This new iteration takes the core design of the Skyline and throws a whole lot of cool into the mix. The 41mm x 12.2mm case is crafted entirely from white ceramic with a beautiful interplay of polished and satin-brushed surfaces, giving it a sophisticated, almost futuristic vibe.

The dial has sufficient visual allure, with a blue open-worked design that reveals the El Primero 3620 SK movement. The dial plate forms Zenith’s iconic four-pointed star, surrounded by luminous hour markers and a minute track. The 1/10th-second sub-dial at 6 o’clock completes one rotation every ten seconds.

El Primero Caliber 3620 SK powers the watch running at 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz) and offering a 55-hour power reserve. The movement’s silicon components for accuracy and reliability, are visible through the skeletonized dial.

The watch comes with a white ceramic H-link bracelet and an additional textured white rubber strap, with a price tag of $17,500 USD.
