Bovet 1822 has released a new world timer watch, the Orbis Mundi, in support of the 10th edition of Only Watch, a charity auction that raises funds for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This timepiece, made with 18K red gold, redefines world time display with its intricate design and impeccable functionality.

The Orbis Mundi is set within the iconic Fleurier case crafted from 18K red gold, measuring 42mm x 11.25mm in size, the watch features a guilloché dial adorned with seven intricate layers of vivid magenta lacquer. The world time display, accented by Roman numerals and representing 24 time zones, showcases Monaco in vibrant magenta – a nod to its significance as the base of Only Watch, further highlighted by the magenta X index, commemorating the 10th edition.

Visible through the sapphire caseback, the Calibre 15BM01HU movement powers the watch’s array of functions, including a power reserve indicator and small seconds, all operable with the watch’s crown alone. The movement has a power reserve of 7 days and features a number of finishing techniques, including Côtes de Genève, perlage, and anglage.

The watch is presented on an alligator strap with a red gold ardillon buckle. The estimated price is between CHF 52,000 – 65,000, but could fetch higher.
