The brand-new Breguet Classique 7337 Calendar is a refined, understated, and unadulterated rendition of a Breguet timepiece. The new Classique 7337 Calendar, an iconic timepiece of the Classique Collection, has a contemporary aesthetic while maintaining the rigid standards that have shaped the brand’s history. The refinements have made this a sleek, understated, and unadorned timepiece that treads the same design etiquette that is characteristic of Breguet.

The dial is the most important and significant element of any Breguet watch, this is no exception. In the case of this new Classique Calendrier 7337, Breguet has made a few modest adjustments to the dial instead of reinventing the wheel, giving it a much more contemporary appearance without straying too far from the brand’s signature style. With this makeover, 7337 now has a totally unique appearance that is among the most contemporary in the brand’s Classique collection. The guilloche dial is made of gold and this time around it’s scaled back a few notches. The twin calendar windows occupy the small real estate on both sides, slightly positioned above the ‘equator line’, showing day on the left and date on the right.

These windows with wide aperture for legibility, have calendar discs in dark blue color, providing excellent contrast with the white guilloche dial. On the left and right of the blue Breguet hands, respectively, are brand name and serial number plaques. The moon phase complication is at 12 o’clock. The clouds surrounding the gold moon have been meticulously sandblasted for a matt finish, and the hand-hammered scalloped texture gives the moon a genuine aspect. Depending on the angle from which the timepiece is seen, a blue lacquer made up of spangles covers its sky, subtly disclosing the stars.

The dial protected by a sapphire crystal, is presented on a 39 mm x 9.95 mm case available in both rose gold (Ref. 7337BR/12/9VU) and white gold (Ref. 7337BB/12/9VU) and offers 30 meters of water resistance. The engine which drives the timepiece is Breguet’s cal. 502.3 QSE1, an ultra-thin automatic movement operating at 21,600vph and offering 45 hours of power reserve. Breguet Classique Calendrier 7337 comes mated to a brown alligator leather strap for rose gold and blue for white gold model. It has a price tag of $43,000, that’s unchanged in this model for years.
