Introducing The Hublot Big Bang Integral Unico 42MM Watch Collection

BY JOVAN KRSTEVSKI

Hublot was one of the four brands that participated in the LVMH watch week that took place in Dubai recently. Among other new watches that the brand released during the event, the one that stood out to us was the new Big Bang Integral collection. Presented on an all-new integrated bracelet attached to a wearable 42mm case, these new watches are ready to raise the heat in the luxury sports watch category.

Launched during Baselworld 2005, the Bug Bang has acted as a strong pillar of success for the brand showcasing the brand’s innovative approach by creating unique products that are a fusion of different materials. The new Hublot Big Bang Integral watches take the brand’s Art of Fusion philosophy to the next level. As you must have figured out by now the real highlight of these new watches is the integrated bracelet that looks stunning and gives the watch a nice cohesive look. It features a 3-link design that draws heavily from the aggressive lines of the case and flows seamlessly into the case. Like the case, the bracelet has been beautifully finished featuring a nice mix of brushed and polished surfaces.

To support the new integrated bracelet Hublot has remodeled the familiar-looking 42mm case. While the signature design elements such as the angular geometry and the brushed/screwed bezel are very much there along with a few noteworthy differences. The most important changes have taken place around the lug structure wherein a new central link has been created to smoothly link the bracelet to the case resulting in the integrated look. As per the brand the pushers have also been reworked to blend better with the overall case design.

Driving the new Hublot Big Bang Integral watches is the UNICO manufacture HUB1280. This is a self-winding column wheel-based chronograph movement that features a flyback mechanism. As for the functions the movement can track the hours, minutes, chronograph seconds, running seconds (through the oversized counter at 3), Chronograph minutes (through the counter at 9) and the date. It operates at a frequency of 4 and offers an autonomy of around 72 hours. The movement can be viewed through the exhibition case back.

With the new Hublot Big Bang Integral collection the brand is ready to take on the big boys in the integrated sports watch category. The Hublot Big Bang Integral watches would be available in Titanium and King Gold priced at EUR 20,700 and EUR 51,800 respectively. A Black Ceramic variant limited to 500 pieces would also be available to purchase for EUR 22,700.
