In an effort to ensure its products are seen as the super high-quality products we all know them to be, Jaeger-LeCoultre has introduced a new Care program for its products which incorporates an eight-year warranty, yes you read that right, warranty. You may or may not remember reading about our trip to the Jaeger-LeCoultre manufactory in the Vallée de Joux a couple of years ago. It’s a veritable palace of arts and science creating a fusion that produces the watches we all know and love from the brand. It’s hard to think of a perfect watch brand than Jaeger-LeCoultre, a brand which produces movements for other high-end companies, as well as doing its R&D and watchmaking.
So, what exactly is this Care program and how will it affect owners of Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces? For a start, you may have noticed the brand’s adeptness at using digital media to market its products. That’s not related to this specifically, Jaeger-LeCoultre is very good at doing that anyway. However, the digital services it offers are being put to good use here.
From the 15th of May this year, customers will be able to register their clocks and watches online with the brand. This will allow them to build and manage their collection through the Jaeger-LeCoultre Care Program, which in turn provides them with personalised suggestions and services, as well as advice from the watchmakers about looking after their products. It will also affect the experience in-store for the buyer, who will be able to receive a service which has been tailored to them with value added services such as personalisation and engraving as well.
But, that’s not the thing which will draw most people’s attention here. I suspect the reason you’re reading this is to find out about the eight-year warranty. You may remember a couple of years back Rolex introduced its five-year guarantee with the green tags, this takes it a step further. Clocks and watches that are registered on the Care program will receive that boost up to eight years for their Limited International Warranty. This will allow the brand to further connect with clients, as most are doing these days, and provide them with a genuinely better experience.
