Admittedly, the Piaget Polo S has always resembled another well-known stainless-steel luxury sports watch, almost as if it were an Homage. Piaget Polo luxury steel watches for men arise as the new benchmarks of masculine elegance inspired by models from the Maison’s legendary collection. Understated, dynamic and perfect in every way, with curved cases and polished or satin-finished bracelets, these luxury steel watches reflect the elegance and high standards of the sport from which they take their name, accompanying men from morning to night. A joyful celebration of the chic yet a relaxed spirit of this collection of luxury watches for men since 1979.
Introduced in this year SIHH, the limited-edition Polo S comes in a striking green dial verdant dial complete with horizontal pattern. This is a nice shift from the other models in the collection that feature more conservative dial colours like blue, silver and anthracite.
The timepiece is paired up with an equally stunning green alligator strap, equipped with a well-made deployment strap, that perfectly complements the vibrant dial. Like the older Polo S models, the watch is finished beautifully with contrasting satin and polished layers. It contains a beautiful satin finish on top of the bezel and a polished bezel facet to give that bit of contrast. The lugs are polished as well while the case band has a beautiful brushed finish.
The timepiece is still powered by the thin in-house automatic calibre 1110P. This movement only 4 mm thick and is equipped with 25 jewels. The timepiece is equipped with a generous 50-hour power reserve, enough to last you for the weekend. The movement is fully visible via the screwed-in display case back that by the way, is very nicely finished. The movement features a slate grey oscillating weight decorated with circular Côtes de Genève and stamped with the Piaget manufacture coat-of-arms. It cannot be called a sports watch unless it has a generous water-resistant rating, which it has: 100m. This watch is available in a limited edition of only 500 pieces.
With guilloché dials, sapphire case-backs that reveal the watch’s movement and cases that marry round and cushion shapes, these luxury watches in stainless steel inscribe the collection in the long aesthetic tradition of the Swiss Manufacture. A heritage that nonetheless leaves room for Piaget Polo luxury watches for men to tell their own story, celebrating every instant. Price to be confirmed but expect it to be in-line with previous models, meaning EUR 8,800. Visit Piaget here.
