Audemars Piguet’s Code 11.59 collection debuted in 2019 to a mixed reception. The brand’s attempt to modernize its design language with a round case and integrated lugs proved to be a polarizing move for traditionalists. However, the Swiss luxury watchmaker has persisted with the collection and has now released six new models. One notable aspect of these six new Code 11.59 releases is that they mark the first time that the collection has been made available in stainless steel.

The six new timepieces in the Code 11.59 collection include four models that boast a full stainless steel build. The remaining two watches have a unique combination of a black ceramic case middle and steel bezel, lugs, and case back. The line has three 3-hand automatics and three chronographs in 41mm cases, with heights of 10.7mm and 12.5mm respectively. The crown is rounder and is made of stainless steel with black ceramic caps on two beige models.

Audemars Piguet has paid a great deal of attention to detail in this area. The six new models feature three dial colors, each with an intricate pattern and finish created just for this collection. The new collection presents a fresh interpretation of the dial design that focuses on legibility and comfort. With new hour markers and hands that stand out from the dial, as well as a redesigned inner bezel, seconds scale and typography of the numerals, the new models offer a striking visual contrast.

The Caliber 4302, which features a seconds and date indication, powers the first three models, while the Caliber 4404, an integrated self-winding chronograph movement with a column wheel and flyback function, powers the remaining three models. The frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) is shared by both movements, and they boast a power reserve of 70 hours.

The new Audemars Piguet’s Code 11.59 watches are color matched with a rubber strap that features a matching textile pattern and is lined with calf leather. The new collection will be available from Audemars Piguet boutiques and selected global retailers from April 2023. Prices for the 3-hand models start at EUR 24,800 ($25,300), while those for the chronographs start at EUR 34,800 ($35,000).
