Panerai Luminor 1950s 8 Day GMT
Officine Panerai had to make an appearance on this list somewhere, and here it’s in solid gold with a long lasting 8-day power reserve, a GMT function and an AM/PM indicator. It’s a manually wound piece and to get to that crown you need to go through Panerai’s signature crown locking system which requires you to pull out a locking lever before the crown will move. The dial also sports another signature Panerai touch, it’s a sandwich dial which means that there’s a dial with lume applied to it, then there’s another dial with cut outs put onto of that creating a wonderful effect. This is a watch that needs to be seen, bought and then worn and it’s only $33,000.
Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionelle
This happens to be my favourite watch from Vacheron Constantin. It’s a grey dial, platinum cased, manually wound watch with only a sub seconds dial. This watch isn’t the thinnest or simplest by Vacheron as there’s also a two hand version, but it’s pure. There is no numbers on this watch, they’d attract too much attention. Instead, there are simple precious metal baton markers and the hands themselves have a very simple 3D shape. Probably the most eye-catching feature is the stepped bezel which blends the platinum in with the crystal perfectly. Everybody will be crazy ‘bout your sharp dressed man with this stunner. $39,500.
Délices de Cartier
This twisted wonder from the French legend, Cartier, will be the ultimate addition to her look. This is a very feminine watch with diamonds ranging in size set in the curvy bezels. To finish of this woman pleaser, there’s also a diamond replacing the sapphire in the crown which has moved to the 2 O‘Clock position. The case is made of steel and the dial is silver, the quartz movement in this watch makes it as precise as those curves are and the bracelet really works too, almost giving it a plaited look when it comes near the case. This watch will cost $50,500 but it’s worth it.
H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Moon
Believe it or not, there’s a lot of watch here for the price. The main part of the watch that really catches the eye is the huge moonphase indicator at 6 O’Clock. Unlike a normal moonphase which gives a general statement about where the moon is, this goes further by showing the precise stages of the natural satellite. Apart from this it’s a simple watch with a gorgeous blue sunburst style dial and a hand painted logo on it. This is a manually wound watch in a 40.8mm platinum case, it’s $56,000 and it’s remarkable.
